President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of the Inspector General of Police, IGPMohammed Adamu by three months.

The Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi, disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday afternoon, February 4

According to him, the extension was necessary so as to give time for the proper selection of a successor to replace Adamu.

Adamu’s tenure expired on Monday, February 1.
