    Five Suspects Arrested for Vandalism and Armed Robbery in Anambra

    Five men have been arrested in connection with acts of vandalism and theft at an international company in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

    The arrests were made on the evening of December 8, 2025, during a coordinated operation by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Awkuzu, in collaboration with police personnel from Neni Divisional Headquarters. The operation was part of a follow-up investigation into a case of conspiracy and armed robbery.

    During the operation, the police recovered one pump-action gun, 10 live cartridges, and a black motorcycle.

    The suspects have been identified as Okemili Chikwado, 20; Collins Nwakpa, 23; Chukwuemeka Igboke, 18; Nwali Chinedu, 18; and Ekene Nwakwo, 22.

    According to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime during interrogation and disclosed that one Arinze acted as the major receiver of the stolen property.

    The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
