It’s a busy deadline day for Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward who is under pressure to deliver big signings at Old Trafford.
It would be recalled that United was humiliated 6-1 by Tottenham on Sunday and have struggled to get deals over the line this summer.
Only one player has arrived in this transfer window so far – Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek (£40million).
England winger Jadon Sancho has been their top priority all summer but Borussia Dortmund have played hardball over his release clause, and he’ll remain at BVB this season.
The duo of Alex Telles and Amad Traore has been signed from Porto and Atalanta, respectively, while Edinson Cavani also signed a one-year deal, with an option of another.
