Nigeria had gone four goals lead inside the opening 30 minutes of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Sierra Leone, but the Leone Stars pulled off a remarkable comeback to draw level at full time.

Fans have expressed their anger at the Super Eagles following their 4-4 draw with the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.

It took the three-time African champions just four minutes to open the scoring in the first leg of their doubleheader Afcon qualifier against Sierra Leone.

Alex Iwobi’s shot gave Nigeria the lead inside the opening five minutes before Victor Osimhen finished off a low cross from Zaidu Sanusi to double the Super Eagles lead.

Iwobi’s curler from about 30 yards out made it three in the 27th minute. Samuel Chukwueze then made it four with a brilliant solo effort in the 30th minute.

Finally, the second-half saw the West African nation score three goals to complete an incredible comeback. First, Al-Hadji Kamara made it 4-2 in the 72nd minute before Mustapha Bundu’s header in the 80th minute set up a nervy finish.
