Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the victims of fire disaster recorded at Garika area of Jebba, Moro local government Area of the State.
The Speaker expressed his grief over the loss of lives and property to the inferno, which reportedly occurred as a result of a fallen fuel tanker, through a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Ibrahim Sheriff.
“I am saddened by the unfortunate incident that claimed several lives and render scores homeless. It is indeed a black day for us.
“We commiserate with the good people of Jebba and condole with the Oba of Jebba and the affected families. Our prayers and thoughts are with them in this trying time”, Danladi Salihu said.
The lawmaker prayed for the repose of the souls lost to the incident and wished the injured speedy recovery, with an assurance that the Legislature will work with the Executive to ensure victims get support.
