The KidsTech Africa team hereby call for registration from interested parents, guardians who want to secure a space for their kids in the technology world to apply for Cohort 3 of the program in Kwara State.
In a statement issued by the Team lead of KidsTech Africa, Dunmoye Ayobami, the program has undergone a lot of remodelling in a bid to better build young African kids in the world of technology.
KidsTech is a hands-on coding and tech program that targets kids aged 6 to 15 in a bid to introduce them to technology through training and mentorship.
For this cohort, a total of 25 participants will be accommodated in a bid to comply with the exigencies of Covid-19 as well as to better monitor and train the kids.
Last year’s December, the KidsTech Africa team unveiled kids who participated in the last cohort of the program. The kids unveiled projects in the areas of Entertainment (animations), Fintech (an atm simulator) Edutech (a cbt app), Games (tic tac toe). These projects are still being developed by the kids in the exclusive KidsTech club where participants get mentorship from instructors and partners of the project.
The kids will be trained in Scratch, Python, and Java programming languages respectively.
Over the past weeks since our last exhibition, the KidsTech Africa team have been working hard to identify improvement opportunities in the quality of services and programs offered in the program. The team understands the need to continually learn, network and help keep pace with the rapidly changing demands in the tech ecosystem towards delivering the best.
We hope parents and guardians will grab this wonderful opportunity to enrol their kids on this innovative program.
The KidsTech Africa team appreciates parents and guardians whose kids participated in the last cohort. The team will continue to guide and mentor kids in the KidsTech club towards attaining success in the tech world.
