I am now a pop star, says Leczy

Fast-rising afro and hip hop artist Leczy says he is now a pop star.

He made this known while reacting to a comment on social media, saying that he is not okay with the media regarding him as an upcoming artist.

The singer complained that at the current level in his career, the stereotype “up-and-coming” should not be attached to his brand.

During an interview, the Nigerian and South Africa-based singer said, “I should be regarded as a pop star and not as an upcoming artist.”

Leczy, who described his songs as a blend of afro and hip-hop, is set to drop a new single, titled, ‘Blessings’, in which he featured Ice Prince.

Leczy had suddenly become one of the popular artists in South Africa and the afro-pop talent is not afraid to take on the competition in Nigeria.

“Collaborating with the likes of Ice Prince simply makes the statement,” he added.
