A war of words has developed between the two managers following Manchester United’s victory over Tottenham in a controversial encounter.
As reported by the Mirror, Jose Mourinho launched an astonishing attack on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a bitter war of words following Manchester United ’s victory.
United boss Solskjaer angrily accused Heung-Min Son of “conning” referee Chris Kavanagh which led to Edinson Cavani having a goal disallowed.
That led to a remarkable response from Mourinho who also angrily turned on the media for not asking him about the comments even though they were made pitch side to TV cameras away from the post-match press conference.
United saw Edinson Cavani have a goal ruled out following a VAR check after Son fell to the floor in spectacular fashion after being caught by Scott McTominay’s flailing arm. “We weren’t conned, the referee was,” said Solskjaer.
Mourinho was fuming afterwards after being told about the comments and went on a rant before storming out of the Zoom press conference.
“I just want to say Sonny is very lucky that his father is a better person than Ole because I think a father – and I am a father – you have always to feed your kids. It does not matter what they do. If you have to steal to feed your kids, you steal,” said Mourinho.
“I am very, very disappointed. With me, like we say in Portugal, bread is bread and cheese is cheese, have told Ole already what I think of his comments.
