Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, today shared a throwback video of Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, berating former President Goodluck Jonathan, for not negotiating the release of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.
In an interview with Sahara Reporters, El-Rufai, who was just a member of the opposition party, APC at the time, described the Jonathan administration as incompetent over the level of insecurity in the country. According to him, terrorism had become an industry in the Jonathan administration. He said the government should adopt military force and negotiations in securing the release of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.
This video came as a surprise to many as El-Rufai who is now the governor of Kaduna state, has insisted that his government will not negotiate with bandits who have continued to terrorize the state. On Monday April 26, some of his officials visited the families of the three students of Greenfield University who were killed by bandits. While commiserating with the families of the abducted students, the state government officials mentioned that they will still not negotiate with bandits.
