A leading Pro Democracy group in Kwara State, Kwara Must Change has called on Kwara State government at all levels and other established bodies in the state to support the initiative of Kidtech Africa, an IT and programming training center for children in the state
Kwara Must Change stated that, KidTech Africa’s training program for kids has been carefully observed and found to be highly effective in building technological capacity of children and the future generation.
In a statement by Convener of Kwara Must Change, Abdulrazaq Hamzat, the group stated that, in KidTech Africa, Kwara State government would find a worthy partner in preparing children for a productive digital future, where they would not only be proficient users of global digital space, but also participate as competitive producers of digital enterprising innovation.
According to Hamzat, “few months ago, KidTech Africa offered Kwara Must Change a scholarship slot in one of its beginners training programs for kids and we presented a female pupil, Aishat Olanrewaju, who participated in the training”.
“After the duration of the program, we engaged the pupil about her training as a programmer and we observed that KidTech Africa successfully transferred some programming knowledge to her, which she is currently practicing, especially in “cartoon gaming.” Hamzat said.
Hamzat explained that, Kwara Must Change is impressed with Aisha’s growth and development as a programmer within a short period of time and we believe that the training center, KidTech Africa deserves all the support it can get, not only from government, but all established bodies in the state.
We therefore urge parents, primary and secondary school authorities, both private and public, to engage KidTech Africa for technological advancement of their kids and students.
