Mr. AbdulWaheed Oluwanishola Jimmy Idiagbon has stated that he remain a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
In a statement made available by his aide, Leke Armani on Thursday, 15th December 2021, debunked rumor of joining Young Progressives Party (YPP) and described the poster in circulation as blackmail taken too far.
“It has come to the attention of Mr AbdulWaheed Oluwanishola Jimmy Idiagbon that some people have started to circulate what seems to be a concocted postal with his picture on the YPP logo, an attempt we find petty and dirty politics. This is to inform the general public that Hon. Idiagbon remains a staunch member of ALL PROGRESSIVE PARTY. The public should further note that at no time did Jimmy Idiagbon leave the APC let alone flying the flag of another political party.” He explained.
According to him, While we have nothing against any individual or group of individuals playing politics with everything, however dirty, we want to say this is a petty politics of blackmail taken too far.
Our findings have revealed that certain elements within the political circle are trying to confuse to embarrass Mr Jimmy Idiagbon for the reason best known to them. We are aware that this same strategy has been used variously for other prominent APC members to discreet these individuals and for some of these elements to gain undeserved attention.
We want to therefore assure the general public especially that Mr Jimmy Idiagbon remains faithful to the people of Kwara and the Ilorin South/East Constituency and grateful to all his fans and supporters who have remained supportive and loyal to him. Mr Jimmy Idiagbon affirms that he will continue to help and support the entire people of Kwara State in general within his capability.
