The consensus arrangement that was said to be put in place by the Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) might have suffered a huge blow as Former Commissioner of Local Government, Aisha Pategi picks senatorial form for the Kwara North Senatorial District.
The consensus arrangement it was gathered will allow each of the zones and LGAs that made up the Kwara North Senatorial District to get notable elective positions gifted to their constituencies in a bid to put up a good fight in the 2023 general election.
The Governorship ticket has been zoned to the Edu/Patigi axis of the district with the senatorial ticket zoned to the Baruten/Kaiama axis. But with this new move of Aisha Pategi picking the nomination form, shows that the arrangement has suffered a setback and may cause an implosion in the party.
It must be noted that Hon Ahman Pategi, Aisha’s elder brother has picked the Governorship nomination forms.
Speaking with journalists shortly after submitting her nomination form at the PDP National Secretariat, Abuja, Ms. Pategi said her mantra for the coveted Senate seat is ‘a mother’s voice’.
