Singer Davido is celebrating as his uncle Ademola Adeleke picked up his Certificate of Return from INEC days after winning the Osun state governorship election.
Recall that Davido called out the electoral body on Tuesday, July 19, for failing to issue the Certificate of Return to his Uncle 48 hours after winning the election. Barely 24 hours after he called them out, INEC issued the Certificate of Return.
Posting a photo from the ceremony on his Twitter handle, Davido wrote;
”It’s been a long battle fought !! We put our Family name on the line , I put my career on the line ! But we had faith!! This was God testing us if we really believed in him !! I feel victorious! Congrats ! Your excellency @AAdeleke_01 ! As for me it’s back to the studio!
You do well @inecnigeria no vex for yesterday”
