Celebrating excellence and recognizing achievements, the Informant 247 has unveiled a voting platform for 15 categories of award for its upcoming merit award programme.
The presentation of the award is part of an ‘omnibus’ event organized by the foremost online news medium to celebrate distinguished personalities.
Documentary premiere on the exploits of Ilorin in the law profession, media parley on the upcoming general elections and 6th year anniversary celebration of the medium are other core areas of the event scheduled for Friday, January 20.
Featuring in the award categories are the manufacturing company of the year, entrepreneur of the year, and young personality of the year.
In the area of the media, the organisation has also shortlisted broadcast station of the year, Journalist of the year, social media personality of the year and WhatsApp platform of the year.
The public service categories include, federal law maker of the year, state lawmaker of the year, public office holder of the year and MDAs of the year.
Not leaving out sporting activities, the award also presents an opportunity for the recognition of the Sport team and Athlete of the year while the poll also includes professional body of the year and NGOs of the year.
Meanwhile, lifetime achievement awards will also be presented to distinguished legal luminaries of the bar and the bench who are of Ilorin extractions at the programme.
According to the organizer, the voting will close few hours to the start of the event.
The event will be held at the Maryam Hall Monarch Hotel, Ajase-IPO road in Ilorin.
