I am immensely grateful to the Almighty God for the successful conduct of the primary election occasioned by the sudden death of my brother and confidant, Hon. Abubakar Olawoyin Magaji who until his death the lawmaker representing Magaji Ngeri Constituency and Leader of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly. I pray Allah forgive his shortcomings and grants him al janah firdaus.
I thank the leader of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq; our party chairman, Prince Fagbemi and the Electoral Officials of Ilorin Central Constituency 2023 Primary Elections for their democratic dispositions that bring about a free, fair, and transparent contest devoid of favoritism and bias of any kind.
I extend my immeasurable appreciation to all elders, relevant stakeholders, and party members for the utmost solidarity displayed in the course of the primaries and the unwavering insistence on upholding the unity and progress of the party.
Again, I am grateful to all my fellow aspirants who refused to play to the melody of bitter opposition but show a high compass of sportsmanship and maturity in the people’s interest.
However, yesterday’s victory is symbolic. It’s a victory for my late brother, Hon. Abubakar Olawoyin Magaji. A victory for democracy, rule of law, and our party, the All Progressives Congress.
In a couple of days, we will take to the streets and homes of our people in spreading the gospel of representation with values and visible impacts. This remains a sure deal to restore the development and growth we so much desire in Ilorin Central Constituency.
I, therefore, convey my deepest appreciation to the Magaji family, fellow party members, professional colleagues, and well-wishers for the confidence reposed in me and tons of support. Let’s all come together to cement our loyalty, love, and unity in the interest of our people. The best time to bring representation with values and visible impacts is now.
