    ASKOMP appreciates Yahyah Seriki, Solace over donation, charges others on support.

    The Association of Kwara State Online Media Practitioners has expressed gratitude to Amb. Abdulfatai Yahyah-Seriki and Comr. Fafoluyi Micheal popularly known as Solace over their contribution to the treatment of one of its member’s son, Imam Abdulhayy Modibbo who was diagnosed of waardenburg syndrome.

    According to University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) “WAARDENBURG SYNDROME – a developmental disorder which causes hearing loss, amongst other symptoms.

    “Imam Abdulhayy Modibbo was diagnosed of the syndrome at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital after his parents presented case of inability to speak. ABDULLAYY MODIBBO will need N10.5 million for Cochlear implant and other medical rehabilitation”.

    Responding to the public solicitation of funds, Philanthropist turned APC chieftain Amb. Abdulfatai Yahyah-Seriki donated the sum of two million naira (₦2,000,000) while the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor, Comr. Fafoluyi Olayinka Micheal popularly known as Solace donated One hundred thousand naira (₦100,000).

    Appreciating the donors via a press release signed by the association’s Chairman, Salihu Shola Taofeeq reads “We want to specially appreciate the due of Amb. Abdulfatai Yahyah-Seriki and Fafoluyi Olayinka Micheal popularly known as Solace for coming to the rescue of one of us.

    “We’re humbled by this gesture and it’s another pointer to the truism that, we all can be more, if we do more.

    “Although, we’ll still be requiring more than Eight million naira (₦8,000,000) to complete the required sum for the treatment, we’re elated that within 24 hours of the public solicitation, the duo has like they always do supported.

    “We hereby, use this opportunity to solicit more support from other well-meaning Kwarans, philanthropists, government, and various levels, to come to aid and ensure the surgery and treatment are carried out in record time”.
