The Kwara State Government’s ambitious industrial park project, currently under construction at Eiyenkorin, off Old Ogbomoso Road, is poised to propel the state to the forefront of economic development.

This mega project, spanning 2,100 hectares across 15 communities in Asa Local Government Area, will drive growth and opportunities in surrounding communities such as Gbagba, Otte, and Eiyenkorin.

The industrial park is expected to significantly boost agricultural, industrial, and economic development in the state, positioning Kwara for international attention and investment. With the state government’s commitment to developing the park, the second phase of the project is set to commence soon, further solidifying the state’s prospects for growth and prosperity.

Furthermore, the Kwara State Government has initiated efforts to revive the abandoned Federal Government Special Agro-Industrial Processing zone at Gbagba/Otte axis of Asa LGA. This initiative aims will support the capacity-building activities related to Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) including climate-smart agriculture, quality requirements, testing and conformity standards, and food safety and the agricultural value of the state and enhance economic activity.

As the project progresses, the future looks increasingly bright for Kwara State and its people.

The industrial park and market revival initiatives are testaments to the government’s dedication to driving economic development and improving the lives of its citizens.

With these initiatives, Kwara is poised to become a hub for industrial and economic activity, attracting investment and talent from around the world.
