Renowned philanthropist and community developer, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, has donated N3 million to the people of Ajase-Ipo following a recent fire outbreak that destroyed several shops at the Kara market.
The fire incident, which occurred on August 20, 2025, drew the attention of the state government prior to Engr. Adeyemi’s visit to the ancient city.
Led by Engr. Bayo Alao, a delegation comprising Hon. Tunde Fadipe, Hon. Aminat Folake Yusuf, and Dr. Babatunde Salami, visited the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, and the affected traders, offering financial support and sympathizing with them.
The delegation conveyed ENACT Principal’s condolences and pledged his continued support for the people of Ajase-Ipo, emphasizing that they are not alone in this critical time.
Engr. Bayo Alao stated that Engr. Adeyemi, a known community developer, wanted to assure the victims that they are not alone in their difficult time. He added that Engr. Adeyemi has offered a donation of N3 million to support and mitigate the adverse effects of the fire accidents on the market traders.
Hon. Aminat Folake Yusuf noted that serving humanity is what interests Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi most, saying, “He has sent us here today to send his regards, because the incident is a personal loss to him, and this visit is to re-echo his love and passion for this community and the people of Ajase-Ipo.”
The Babaloja of Ajase-Ipo land, Hon. Bello Ganiyu Olubuwade, expressed gratitude to the delegation for their support, describing Engr. Adeyemi’s gesture as one of many good deeds he exhibits without political biases. The Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, praised Engr. Adeyemi’s character and commitment to humanity, highlighting his efforts in human capital development through the Innovation Hub established in the community ¹.
The donation aligns with Engr. Adeyemi’s long-standing focus on community development, championed through his organization, ENACT. Engr. Adeyemi is also known for founding the Igbomina Mobile Clinic and supporting initiatives to provide clean water to rural communities.
