The leading Kwara South political figure and community development advocate, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun (ENACT), has commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for approving the establishment of the Committee on Enumeration of Victims of Banditry.

The Committee, chaired by Abdulateef Gidado Alakawa, is tasked with identifying and documenting victims of banditry across Kwara. Engr. Adeyemi described the development as “a bold and compassionate intervention that reflects the Governor’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and security of citizens, especially in Kwara South.

The Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration is totally committed to the elimination of the issues of banditry in the state. While effective actions are ongoing to make the elimination of these non-state actors possible, the administration is looking to ameliorate the losses that our people have suffered through no fault of their own. The administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is a caring and compassionate one that cares about the well-being of all Kwarans.

He noted that Governor AbdulRazaq has consistently shown strong support for security outfits across the state, providing logistics, operational tools, and welfare support to enhance their effectiveness in protecting communities.

According to him, the Governor’s proactiveness in tackling insecurity has not only reduced threats in several parts of Kwara but also reassured residents that their safety remains a top priority of the administration.

Highlighting his own contribution to security support in Kwara South, Engr. Adeyemi recalled that through the ENACT platform, he recently fulfilled his pledge to provide financial and welfare assistance to families of vigilantes who were either injured or lost their lives in the line of duty. The intervention, he said, was aimed at complementing government’s ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability across the region.

Governor AbdulRazaq has once again shown that the welfare of Kwarans remains at the core of his administration. His consistent support for security agencies and his proactive measures in tackling insecurity inspire confidence in the people. I assure His Excellency of my continuous support as we collectively work towards a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Kwara South,” Adeyemi stated.
