As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, esteemed Member of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Board of Trustees and Founder of ENACT, extends warm congratulations to all Nigerians and commends the resilient spirit of the nation.
In a goodwill message to commemorate the occasion, Engr. Adeyemi reflected on Nigeria’s journey since gaining independence in 1960, recognizing the strides made in unity, education, infrastructure, and democratic governance. He praised the unwavering determination of Nigerians in the face of economic and social challenges, stating that “the spirit of our people remains our strongest asset.”
Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun particularly lauded the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, highlighting his bold economic reforms, renewed commitment to good governance, and efforts in repositioning Nigeria for sustainable development.
He also congratulated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on the occasion of Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, commending his transformative efforts in infrastructure, education, and human capital development which have continued to set Kwara on the path of inclusive progress.
As a son of Kwara South, Engr. Adeyemi reaffirmed his lifelong commitment to community development and grassroots empowerment, referencing his various interventions in education, youth empowerment, social investment, and healthcare across Kwara South and Kwara State at large. Through his ENACT Initiative, he has consistently supported educational scholarships, digital literacy programs, skills development, and community-based projects that uplift lives and nurture opportunities for the younger generation.
He further reiterated his dedication, through his role at TETFund, to strengthening Nigeria’s tertiary institutions by supporting quality education, research, and capacity building—critical pillars for national growth and development.
Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun called on all Nigerians to unite, remain optimistic, and work together toward building the Nigeria of our dreams.
