A viral video has captured Hon. Chima Njoku, Chairman of Etche Local Government Area in Rivers State, stating that Masters and Ph.D. holders are not welcome to seek jobs within his jurisdiction.

In the widely circulated footage, Njoku said: “Masters and Ph.D. holders should go to Port Harcourt and look for work. They should not come near me. My local government is for BSc and WAEC holders. Don’t ever address me with that professor title attached to your name.”

Njoku further emphasized that individuals who have not contributed to the development of Etche should not expect access to local resources. He stated that he would recognize and support only those who have actively participated in and supported the progress of the local government.
