The immediate past Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, has emphasized that foreigners cannot resolve Nigeria’s security challenges, insisting that Nigerians must take responsibility for restoring peace.

Speaking at a public event in Abuja on Sunday, November 23, Musa responded to questions about US President Donald Trump’s recent threat of military action in Nigeria. He stressed that the responsibility for the country’s security lies with its own citizens.

“Nobody will save our country other than ourselves. We must do it ourselves, and we can do it,” he said, urging Nigerians to take an active role in ensuring national safety.
