President Bola Ahmed Tinubu convened an extended security meeting at the State House with all Service Chiefs, including the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of the DSS, and heads of Nigeria’s intelligence agencies.
According to a statement on his social media page, the President said the meeting focused on reviewing the latest security reports and taking decisive actions to stabilize affected areas and protect citizens.
He added:
“I am receiving continuous briefings and have directed our security services to move with speed, precision, and absolute resolve. As President, I am fully committed to the security of all Nigerians. Those who threaten the peace and security of our nation will face the full weight of the law. Nigeria will prevail.”
The meeting highlights the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen national security and safeguard the country amid rising concerns in some regions.
