Digprom International Limited has officially launched its new office in Ilorin, marking a major milestone in its mission to drive digital transformation and empower the Nigerian workforce with future–ready skills. The launch coincided with a free capacity-building workshop titled “AI Automation at Work,” held on Saturday, drawing government leaders, tech professionals, and industry stakeholders in ilorin, Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, the Kwara State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Mal. Lawal Olohungbebe, lauded Digprom International for its bold investment in human capital and innovation. Represented by Mrs. Oludare Victoria Olawumi, Director of Human Capital Development, the Commissioner emphasized that technology has evolved from being a standalone sector to becoming “the backbone of every sector.”

He noted that AI automation and data-driven systems are reshaping education, business productivity, and government service delivery, adding that Digprom’s initiative aligns with the state government’s ambition to make Kwara a leader in digital literacy and an emerging AI hub in Nigeria.

Delivering his opening remarks, Hon. Ayobami Dunmoye, Chief Operating Officer of Digprom International, congratulated selected participants and described the workshop as part of the company’s continued corporate social responsibility. He highlighted that the training was designed to help professionals — including civil servants, teachers, engineers, and medical practitioners — keep pace with global AI trends.
“If you use the knowledge gained today judiciously, it will significantly enhance your productivity,” he assured attendees.

The newly launched Digprom office will serve as a dedicated hub for innovation, training, and technological collaboration across the state, he added.

Also speaking at the event, the Special Assistant on Digital Innovation to the Kwara State Governor, Hon. Ishola Kayode, praised Digprom’s efforts and reaffirmed the state’s growing reputation in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem. He referenced global tech leader Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, co-founder of Andela and Flutterwave, while noting that Ilorin was recently ranked as Nigeria’s sixth leading startup city.

He further highlighted local success stories such as Credlock, a rising AI-driven fintech company tackling loan repayment challenges.

Participants at the workshop were trained on practical AI applications, including:

    • Automating daily tasks and workflows
    • Saving time and reducing operational costs
    • Building simple automations
    • Creating business websites in minutes
    • Leveraging AI for marketing, content creation, and business scaling

AI Researcher Merit Lawal encouraged attendees to embrace AI as a catalyst for growth in content development, marketing, and business strategy. Another facilitator, Mr. Gbolahan Adegoke, a software engineer, trained participants on no-code automation, full-stack AI apps, and the evolving future of work. He stressed that while AI may not replace humans, digital literacy will define professional success going forward.
