On-Air Personality Tolu Oniru Demuren, popularly known as Toolz, has publicly defended Jennifer Pope, the widow of late actor Jnr Pope, after a Nigerian man mocked her for “moving on” less than a year following her husband’s tragic death.
Jnr Pope tragically passed away in a boat accident while en route to a movie set, leaving behind his wife and three sons.
On Sunday, December 7, a video surfaced online showing Jennifer Pope and actress Mercy Johnson stepping out for an event, looking stylish and composed. While many applauded her for maintaining grace amidst her loss, one X-user left a comment criticizing Jennifer, claiming she had “moved on too quickly” and warning men to avoid dying young.
Toolz, noticing the insensitive remark, took to X to call out the man, defending Jennifer and emphasizing that everyone grieves and heals at their own pace.
