American rapper Azealia Banks is currently trending online after making a series of harsh and controversial remarks about Afrobeats, Nigerian culture, and singer Rema during a recent podcast appearance.

In the interview, she made several dismissive comments, saying:

“I don’t want to listen to someone singing in pidgin; I’d rather listen to someone sing in patois. I don’t like Afrobeats. Nigerians have no culture, they’re eating salty rice, and who even cooks with palm oil? I don’t like Rema; he’s a skinny little boy.”

Her statements have sparked widespread reactions across social media, with many fans and listeners calling out the rapper for being disrespectful.
