Nigerian troops deployed in Taraba State have successfully rescued a kidnapped man in Lau Local Government Area, the Army has confirmed.
The victim, 40-year-old Alhaji Shuaibu, a Fulani resident of Yelwata Community in Ardo-Kola LGA, was abducted around 9:05 a.m. on December 11, 2025, near Yaja village. Acting on credible human intelligence, the troops quickly mobilized and pursued the kidnappers, rescuing Shuaibu unharmed by 11:00 a.m. the same day.
The Nigerian Army stated that the security situation in the area remains calm and urged residents to maintain vigilance to prevent further incidents. The operation highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-led actions and the commitment of the military to safeguarding lives in Taraba State.
