When the slogan “Igbomina lokan” gained prominence, some of us insisted that the conversation must rise above ethnicity and focus squarely on competence, credibility, and capacity. That moment has now arrived. The contest is fierce, with formidable contenders emerging from different political parties, and the electorate is actively weighing records, values, and tangible contributions.

As this comparison unfolds, a striking consensus is forming. When measured by commitment to the people, impact across the region, and effective use of personal and political capital, one name consistently stands out.

It is becoming increasingly evident that even the incumbent senator has not connected with the constituency as deeply or as consistently as one of the challengers. Everywhere one turns in Kwara South—markets, communities, and political gatherings—the same name dominates conversations: Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi.

This growing support is not accidental. Long before 2019, Adeyemi was already deeply invested in the development of Kwara South and firmly committed to the APC. That commitment has remained unwavering to this day. He was among the stabilizing forces that held the party together during the critical 2023 elections, mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at a time when others chose selective empowerment and partisan loyalty—even after he lost out at the primaries.

Politics may involve high-level calculations, but even if presidential influence were to determine APC senatorial tickets, no leader would willingly entrust such a strategic seat to a liability. Kwara South is a stronghold of support for President Tinubu, and the people are clear: they want a candidate who will not jeopardize that trust. The prevailing call across the district is simple and resolute—Adeyemi must be the Senator.

Widely known as ENACT, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi has, over the years, delivered meaningful interventions and people-centered programmes that have directly benefited Kwara South. For many residents, the path forward is obvious. The most fitting recognition for years of service, sacrifice, and impact is to entrust him with the official mandate of Senator, enabling him to scale up the good work he has long been doing.

Across Kwara South today, one reality is becoming unmistakably clear: the momentum is overwhelmingly behind Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi for the Senate.
