…AS KWARANS DEMAND CREDIBLE NAMES ON THE BALLOTS
Long before any discussion of contesting for political office emerged, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi has consistently stood with the people of Kwara—particularly Kwara South. Across critical areas such as healthcare, youth development, and philanthropy, his presence and impact have been evident over the years. These sustained interventions provide strong reassurance that his commitment to public service is genuine and enduring.
In this context, making Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi a subject of public discourse is both healthy and timely. It injects fresh energy into the political space and serves as a constructive stimulus capable of redefining the race toward various political offices ahead of 2027.
It therefore came as little surprise—yet with great admiration—when Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi once again demonstrated leadership through action by single-handedly donating a Hummer bus to support the activities of Omo Ibile Igbomina. This gesture goes beyond philanthropy; it is a powerful statement that Igbomina has capable and committed sons who are willing to invest tangibly in the collective good. It also serves as a challenge to other Igbomina indigenes to step forward and actively contribute to the development of their homeland.
More importantly, this act sends a clear message to all indigenes of Kwara South that true politics is about development. It reinforces the opportunity for the people to rally behind a worthy and selfless citizen, rather than continue to endure the dominance of political opportunists who mortgage our collective heritage for personal gain.
Regrettably, we are still yet to see such depth of commitment to the people among many current political aspirants. Instead, what we often witness are individuals who rely heavily on perceived proximity to the President—either hoping to be imposed on the electorate or exploiting such claims to sow division within the APC. We therefore desire Adeyemi’s type of unifying agenda, which we believe the President himself wishes to advance. Yet, this prevailing narrative presents an opportunity for change.
Therefore, when we assert that there are specific names we desire to see on the APC ballot—such names that can inspire confidence and reassure the masses that the party truly represents their interests—we do so with conviction and say Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi is unquestionably one such name. His many contributions, exemplified by this Hummer bus donation to Igbomina, distinguish him clearly from many of today’s political actors.
As we express our sincere appreciation to Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi for this laudable gesture, we also encourage him to deepen and expand his interventions to individuals’ lives. Furthermore, we call on the people of Igbomina to proudly project him across Kwara South as a worthy son—one deserving of support and promotion for whatever political office he seeks.
