“Iran Internet Shutdown Enters Fourth Day Amid Nationwide Protests”

Iran’s nationwide internet blackout has entered its fourth day, raising concerns among activists and rights groups about the suppression of communications during ongoing demonstrations. Monitoring group NetBlocks reported that connectivity has been limited for over 84 hours, with only partial access possible through satellite services, shortwave radio, or cell networks near the borders.

Despite the blackout, protests have continued across the country. Solidarity rallies have also taken place internationally, including in Washington, where demonstrators called for global attention to the ongoing unrest.

The demonstrations, now in their second week, began in response to rising living costs but have since evolved into broader calls for political change in the country. Authorities have not released official information on the protests, while activists report significant unrest.

US President Donald Trump commented on the situation, noting the scale of the protests and reiterating international concerns over the treatment of demonstrators.

The prolonged internet shutdown has highlighted the challenges faced by Iranians in accessing information and communicating with the outside world during periods of heightened political tension.
