The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) will on Friday, January 30, 2026 host Media Roundtable to discuss preparation for 2027 general elections.
The Chairman of the Association, Salihu Shola Taofeek in a statement issued on Friday said the Media Roundtable will create a platform for critical stakeholders to discuss the transition process in Kwara State and preparation for 2027 general elections.
The programme with the theme: Kwara 2027: Media, Politics and the Search for Credible Leadership will have Dr. Ibrahim Salawu, Acting Director, Kwara State University Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance and Dr. Rafiu Bakare, the Deputy Director, Institute of Legislative Studies, University of Ilorin as Guest Speakers.
According to him, Critical Stakeholders including political parties, IPAC, Socio-political organisations across three Senatorial districts in Kwara State and others are expected at the event.
Taofeek said ASKOMP Media Roundtable slated for Friday, January 30, 2026 at NUJ Press Centre, Ilorin aimed at promoting platform for public discourse and deepen democratic rule in the country.
