Management of Kaduna State University (KASU) has resumed the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic session for its undergraduate and post-graduate students. The school has reportedly begun its second-semester examination which was suspended due to the strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) which commenced in February this year. Magnus Abe, a former lawmaker representing Rivers South-East senatorial district has joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Pop star Shakira is reportedly facing up to eight years in prison she’s found guilty of an alleged massive £12m tax fraud. The Hips Don’t Lie’ singer, 45, is charged with defrauding the Spanish treasury out of millions over a three-year period between 2012 and 2014. Alhaji Jibril Zarewa, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state, Katsina, has blamed the low number of registered voters in Katsina State on the suspension of telecommunications services in 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) due to insecurity.
