Emergency services found him unresponsive in a Peugeot in Sicily’s capital Palermo on Monday, June 13. Initial examination showed no obvious external injuries. Omolade’s family said the Kaduna-born player had complained of leg pains days before. This was conveyed in their resignation letters which Senate President, Ahmad Lawan read at the resumption of plenary on Tuesday June 14. JP Morgan Chase Bank has won a $1.7 billion court battle with the Nigerian government over the transfer of proceeds from the sale of OPL 245 in 2011. The Federal government had sued JP Morgan on the ground of “Quincecare duty”, alleging that the bank “ought to have known” that there was corruption and fraud in the transaction which saw Malabu sell its 100 percent in OPL 245 to Shell and Eni for $1.1 billion.
