Kwara State House of Assembly has declared the seat of the lawmaker representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency in Offa Local Government Area of the state, Saheed Popoola, vacant for defecting from the All Progressives Congress to the Social Democratic Party. Andrew Yakubu, the former Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), was overcome with emotions after he was cleared of money laundering charges. After a five-year legal battle, Justice Ahmed Ramat Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, gave a judgement today, March 31, discharging and acquit ting Yakubu of the $9.8 million money laundering charge filed against him by the Federal Government (read here). The Nigerian Football Federation has terminated the appointment of Super Eagles technical crews. This was contained in a  statement on its website titled, ‘NFF disengages Super Eagles’ Technical Crew’, and signed by the NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi.
