Bamise’s mother is inconsolable after receiving news of her daughter’s death. The body of 22-year-old Oluwabamise Toyosi Ayanwole was identified today by her family after she was dumped at Ebute Ero with her body parts mutilated. Bamise’s mother, who had joined in searching for her daughter and hoped for her safe return, was given the sad news of her daughter’s demise today. She wept bitterly in spite of efforts by her loved ones to comfort her. While crying, she kept calling for justice for her daughter. An eyewitness has claimed that 22-year-old Oluwabamise Toyosi Ayanwole was still alive after she was allegedly tossed out of a BRT bus but Good Samaritans were prevented from taking her to the hospital. The driver of the Bus Rapid Transit that 22-year-old Oluwabamise Ayanwole, took and thereafter went missing, has been arrested. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed this development and said a statement will be released soon. Recall, the Lagos Police Command had earlier issued a statement confirming that Oluwabamise Ayanwole had been found dead.

The Federal Government on Monday March 7, inaugurated a seven-person committee to renegotiate the 2009 agreement reached with the Academic Student Union of Universities (ASUU). The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that Oluwabamise Ayanwole, the 22-year-old lady who got missing in transit while on board a BRT bus on February 26 has been found dead. A statement released by CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, spokesperson of the state police command, says the corpse was found lying on the Carter Bridge by Ogogoro Community, Lagos Island. He stated that the corpse has been deposited at the morgue of the Mainland Hospital, Yaba, for autopsy.
