Federal High Court, Abuja Division has ordered that the leader of the proscribed Indigenious People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, be remanded in DSS custody, Justice Binta Nyako presided over the case. The remand order was sequel to an application by the Federal government through its lawyer, Shuaibu Labaran. Ruling on the request for his remand in the custody of the DSS, Justice Nyako held that the prosecution should inform Kanu’s lawyers of his rearrest and remand in the custody of the DSS. Binance, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange, has been issued a warning by the UK’s financial regulator. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has ruled that the firm cannot conduct any “regulated activity” in the UK. It also advised people to be wary of adverts promising high returns on cryptoasset investments. Binance said the FCA notice would have no “direct impact” on the services it provides from its website Binance.com.
