Borno State governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum on Tuesday, August 11 held an impromptu test for public school teachers in the Baga community of the state. The governor who shared photos on social media said the impromptu aptitude test for the 65 teachers was held to determine their qualifications and ability to teach.

Nigeria has been ranked 161st on the 2020 Global Youth Development Index which measures the status of young people in 181 countries around the world. In the triennial report released by the Commonwealth Secretariat on Tuesday August 10, Singapore ranked top for the first time, followed by Slovenia, Norway, Malta and Denmark. While 156 countries recorded slight improvements in their scores, Nigeria which was 141 in 2016 took the 161st spot in the ranking. The Department of State Services (DSS) has filed a remand application at the Federal High Court in Abuja, asking the court to nullify the bail earlier granted to four of the 12 detained associates of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho.
