The policewoman who was allegedly shot human rights activist, Owoyele Sowore during a protest over insecurity in the country was identified as Altine Daniel, a Chief Superintendent of Police, according to Sahara reporters. Sowore was on Monday morning shot in the right side of the stomach towards the hip by Daniel at the Unity Fountain, Abuja while he was trying to gain entrance into the place. Immediate past vice-president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Emmanuel Osodeke, has emerged as the new president of the union. A professor of soil science at the Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Osodeke was elected president of the union during a three-day conference, which held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State on the 30th of May, 2021. Manchester City striker, Sergio Kün Aguero has completed a transfer move to Barcelona following his exit from Manchester City, the Spanish club have announced.
