Former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun has reacted to the court judgment which said she has no obligation to produce a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate to hold a public office in Nigeria. Adeosun who hailed the court judgement which came 3 years after she resigned from her position, stated that she is happy over the official clarification as she has been vindicated after a very traumatic spell. Chief of Army Staff, Major General Faruk Yahaya was on Wednesday July 7 decorated by President Muhammadu Buhari. The brief ceremony which took place at the State House, Abuja, before the start of the weekly virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC), was witnessed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and top government officials. The Chief of Army Staff was appointed on May 27 to replace Ibrahim Attahiru who died in a plane crash in Kaduna. The National Assembly confirmed Yahaya’s appointment last month. See photos below………

Federal High Court in Abuja has cleared former Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adosun of the controversy surrounding her participation or otherwise in the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, presided by Justice Taiwo Taiwo Adeosun who was the Minister of Finance during the first tenure of President Buhari resigned from office in September 2018 after a debate on whether or not she participated in the mandatory NYSC scheme started.
