NPFL club, Wikki Tourists FC team were involved in a vital accident on Thursday morning, February 18 The team bus conveying players went up in flames along Kibo after Jos in Plateau state. The Bauchi-based club was on their way to Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, to honour the NPFL matchday 11 fixture against Dakkada FC. Below is the break down for each states; Lagos-229, Rivers-79, Taraba-73, Oyo-66, Ogun-60, FCT-58, Plateau-56, Kwara-38, Ondo-38, Osun-24, Kano-22, Nasarawa-21, Abia-19, Edo-19, Akwa Ibom-19, Cross River-10, Delta-9, Benue-8, Ekiti-6, Borno-6, Katsina-4, Bauchi-3, Bayelsa-1, Zamfara-1. A total of 149, 369 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country and 1,787 deaths have been recorded. 125, 722 patients who recovered from the disease have also been discharged.
A secondary school student was caught in school with a gun she allegedly planned to use in attacking her teacher. The girl, a student of Government Secondary School in Ikot Ewa, Cross River State, was asked by a teacher to cut her coloured hair and she was allegedly angered by this. Subsequently, she arrived at school with a local gun. Soldiers were invited after the student was caught with the gun, as seen in photos shared online.
