The Federal Government has extended the deadline for Nigerians with the National Identity Number, NIN, to link it up with their SIM cards. It would be recall that Federal government in December 2020 gave Nigerians with NIN that are yet to link their Sim cards till January 19 to link them up or risk getting their telephone lines blocked. United States President, Joe Biden put a call through to a Nigerian family to appreciate them for their support and invite them to the White House. Josephine, 12, and her father, hails from Ibadan, in Oyo state, spoke to Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. During the 12-minutes call, Biden praised Josephine for her intelligence and even cracked jokes with her. He also spoke to her father and asked where in Nigeria he’s from. Other states with fresh cases include Rivers-163, FCT-116, Kaduna-114, Oyo-68, Plateau-62, Ogun-56, Imo-55, Osun-55, Edo-51, Anambra-50, Kwara-44, Kano-17, Ebonyi-14, Cross River-10, Delta-10, Jigawa-8, Bayelsa-6, Ekiti-6, Borno-2, Taraba-2 and Zamfara-1.
