The Ekiti State Government has disclosed plans to procure sophisticated drones as part of efforts to boost surveillance, expose criminal hideouts and combat insecurity. The Nigeria Police Force has responded following reports that eighteen police officers were kidnapped by criminals along the Birnin Gwari – Funtua Highway on Friday, January 15. The force reacted via it official Twitter handle said only sixteen officers were attacked in the ambush which was successfully repelled.
