President Muhammadu Buhari who had a meeting with governors of the 36 states in Abuja on Tuesday December 8, has asked them to work with local chiefs in their various states to tackle insecurity. The body of a yet-to-be identified woman was found dumped at Osuntokun Avenue, Bodija, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Tuesday, December 8. The Fast-Track Emergency Rescue Operation squad of the Oyo State Road Transport Management Agency (OYRTMA) were called to the scene at about 11am. The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has said it will not be calling off its eight months old strike until the Federal government pays all withheld salaries and fulfils all of the offers made to the union thus far. The Federal government, in its latest offers to ASUU leadership, pledged to pay N40 billion as Earned Allowance and N30 billion for the revitalization of the university system, bringing the total payment to N70 billion.
