The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has said it will not be calling off its eight months old strike until the Federal government pays all withheld salaries and fulfils all of the offers made to the union thus far. The Federal government, in its latest offers to ASUU leadership, pledged to pay N40 billion as Earned Allowance and N30 billion for the revitalization of the university system, bringing the total payment to N70 billion. Former YBNL artiste Temmie Ovwasa has called out her former boss Olamide Adedeji days after hinting that their relationship had gone sour. Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has suspended his Chief of Staff, Anthony Agbazuere, for spraying clergyman, Odumeje Indaboski, money in his office. Read more about the initial report here. His suspension is contained in a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem. It reads “Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere. The Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr Alozie Odoemelam, will perform the duties of the office of Chief of Staff until further notice.
