The association of private coaching centers (ASSOOPCON) held a general meeting on Friday, 15th October 2021. The meeting which had in attendance members of the association and other stakeholders was held online. The president of the organization; Mr. Olufemi Olawuyi blew hot while addressing and topical issues that have been affecting the organization.

He complained about some faceless individuals tarnishing the image of the association by engaging in some practices contrary to the rules and ethics of EDUCATION and the aims of the association.
He decried that those in the category of such illegal practices are not members of the association saying they are faceless and therefore warned members of the public not to associate with them and hence dissociate themselves from such people. He also called on members of the association to expose such people by handing them over to the government for proper prosecution.

Mr. Olufemi Olawuyi commended the education authorities at the state level, the Minister for Education, Adamu Adamu, Jamb Registrar, Prof. Ishaq, Oloyede, and the Registrars of other Examination bodies in Nigeria for their good intentions in strengthening and repositing of the educational system in Nigeria. This will curb the menace of examination malpractices in the country.

As that body that believes in quality and standard education, it is our duty to embrace this new wave of total quality/standard policies.

ASSOOPCON is willing and ready to collaborate with government bodies to ensure that the various educational reforms are implemented.

“There is no debate on this matter, we are ready to partner with the government to sanitize and improve the educational sector in Nigeria.” – The president remarked.

It was therefore concluded that the association will be more proactive in working with the government to bring the erring members or the faceless ones that are engaging in illegal sharp practices to book.

“This is necessary because we have nowhere to hide. We are popular and we have good names and integrity against the shameless & faceless elements who ‘do business with education’. We are using this opportunity to tell them, the end has come” – he concluded.
