All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Aspirant in Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has promised to use legislative instruments to drive human capital development in the senatorial district and Nigeria as a whole.
Saliu Mustapha disclosed this on Wednesday while interacting with Party faithful at Gambari ward, Ilorin East local government to seek support ahead of the APC Senatorial Primary election.
He explained that he can impact more lives by passing bills to facilitate massive human capital development in the country, noting that such moves will have a multiplier effect on the people of Kwara Central.
His words: “We can assist more people in the society through sponsorship of bills to address challenges facing the people, especially human capital development. I will continue to invest in human capital because I believe it offers one of the greatest returns on investment. The returns in the context mean a reduction in the poverty rate, unemployment and crime in the society.
“I will use the office of the Senator to impact my constituents’ lives positively. I am doing my widow’s might as a private citizen and will do much more when given the opportunity to represent the good people of Kwara Central Senatorial District.”
Mustapha in a bid to complement Kwara State Government efforts in the education sector donated N3million for the renovation of Gambari Secondary School Awodi.
Recall that the Turaki of Ilorin donated solar-powered Boreholes to some communities in Asa and Ilorin East local government areas to provide clean and safe water for the populace.
