kwara Idol Season III on Tuesday introduced a new twist to the ongoing reality show as Five contestants were evicted.
The week II of the reality show tagged “Nigerian Pop (Eviction Show),” was held at TLCC Wonder Garden, Tanke Ilorin, kwara state.
The five contestants who were evicted from the show are Qemaco, Blessing, Qummy T Prince, LekkyBance, and Sacred.
According to the project director of the show, Mr. Adaniken Monday (Ben Da Poet), the eviction of the five contestants is based on 50% vote and 50% performance.
The reality show which the headline Sponsor is Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, Kwara SDP Guber Candidate, kicked off with over three hundred and sixty-two applications at the audition stage, who are from the various parts of the state and country at large.
During the show, the convener and Creative Director of the show, Oyelere Adebisi (Debisi_Onifoto), while giving his remark appreciated the contestants for coming to showcase their talents.
He disclosed that the next stage ‘week III’ will come up on the 20th of September, at TLCC Wonder Garden, Tanke Ilorin, kwara state capital where 14 contestants will battle for the Grand prize.
“I just want to remind us that next stage which is the semi finals and also the evergreen week were the contestants will have to perform songs from the evergreen musicians like Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey , Kolington , Iya Aladuke and many more. Adebisi said.
With the last eviction, only 14 contestants are now in the show to battle for the N1million Price.
