Fadekemi Bashorun started singing in a Sunday school choir at the Primary school level and proceeded to the Adult choir at Methodist Church Oke Oja Osu where she served for so many years before relocating to the USA where she joined the RCCG TKC choir in NJ for a few years. In her words, she said My story is an uncommon favour which I am sure is fueled by incessant belief in God almighty.
At a point during this journey of life, an avalanche of hardship engulfed my whole world to perplexity. As I sit back now to recount what really happened, I realize that I didn’t just lose my voice when the turbulence of life hit me, but I also lost everything around me at the same time. I remained steadfast by praying with hope for better tomorrow.
Fast forward to 10 years later, when sleeping and in my dreams, I started hearing and singing songs. At first, I didn’t take it seriously but I continued to worship with songs of praise (depending on the content).
Alas! My interest in singing came back to life again. (The maker says it is not over yet. Hallelujah! )
As God will have it, I approached the studio and with my husband’s support, I recorded my first album out of many to come by God’s grace.
In the studio, while getting ready to start recording, my thick/bass tone voice metamorphosed into a new voice that to this day is still a mystery. It was a miracle! My God is awesome
