The Kidstech Africa Team has emerged as the second runner-up at the just concluded E-Government Hackathon organized by Ilorin Innovation Hub.
The E-Government Hackathon is a two-day program for tech experts to showcase their skills.
The Kidstech team is the youngest competing team and they developed a healthcare management system called Cradlecare. A solution for hospitals to tackle the problem of improper record keeping for kids. The solution has the potential to reduce infant mortality, help parents keep track of hospital appointments for their kids, and help hospitals to deliver better health services for kids by having an accurate and updated record of each kid. The system also has a notification system for kids and medical personnel as well as an invoicing and payroll management system for hospitals.
At the end of the pitching exercises, the Kidstech team was awarded a cash prize for the best presentation and second runner-up in the competition.
Speaking after the presentation of the prizes, Tomilola Abayomi; who led the 4 member team that won the contest thanked the organizers for the platform where they were able to showcase their talents as well as the mentors who gave some insights to them in developing the solution at the hackathon. Other members of the team include Emmanuel Ishola, Adeyemi Abdulsamad, and Ibrahim Olawuyi.
