Federal Government College Ilorin Old Students Association (FGCIOSA), has elected a new set of executive officers to run its affairs for the next two years.

The election took place during her 13th Annual General Meeting in Lagos Country Club, Ikeja on the 17th, of February 2024.

The new executive is led by Mrs. Maeve Ere-Bestman as National President, Dr. Usman Oladipo Akanbi as National Vice President, and Engr. Babaita Taiwo as the General Secretary, among others.

They were elected by the electoral college which consists of six delegates from four registered chapters (Ilorin, Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt), after the election, the new executives were sworn in by the chairman of the board of trustees who also doubles as the association’s electoral chairman, Mr Anthony O. Oshunlaja.

On behalf of the newly elected officials, Mrs. Ere-Bestman thanked members for finding them worthy to serve the Association for the next two years. She assured them that the new Excos will work hard to take the Association to greater heights.

The new National President promised to prioritize the welfare of all the members, and the college, as well as ensure that their interests are protected at all times.

The other members of the executives are Mr. Kola Olaniyi, Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Tunde Aguda, PRO, Mr. Oladimeji Abiola, Treasurer, Mr Osita Onunkwo, Financial Secretary, Mr . Dunmoye Ayobami, Welfare Secretary, and Legal Adviser, Hajiya Ramatu Ajibade.

The former National President, Rear Admiral Muazu Abdulsalam was elected as the Ex-officio 1, Dr Mrs Shola, Ex-officio 2, and Mr Adebowale Eboda, Ex-officio 3.
