Kwara State is gearing up to propel its youth towards the forefront of economic development with the forthcoming Kwara Youth Economic Summit (KYES), slated for Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Themed “Kwara to the World: Becoming an Economic Valuable Kwara Youth,” the summit seeks to empower young people to become key players in the state’s economic landscape.
Notable dignitaries, including Honourable Muktar Tolani Shagaya, Member representing Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, and Senator (Dr) Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, 9th National Assembly Member representing Kwara Central, are set to grace the occasion as the Guest Speaker and Chairman of the Occasion, respectively.
Also, Her Excellency, Ambassador (Dr) Mrs Olufolake AbdulRazaq, the First Lady of Kwara State and Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors’ Wives Forum will be the Chairperson while His Royal Highness, Dr. Haliru Yahaya, the Emir of Shonga, will be in attendance as the Special Guest of Honour.
The summit, organized by Intercontinental News 247, will kick off at 9 am at the NBA Hall, GRA, Ilorin.
Its convener, Alabidun Shuaib Abdulrahman noted that the summit comes at a very pivotal time for the state and will be key for economic development and further liberation in the state.
